Freedom MSFGS Show
June 22, 2012

Liberty MSFGA Show
June 23, 2012

Judge: Marie Layman (Salem, OR)

Marie has raised all classes of goats for over 35 years, everything from pygmies to meat goats to almost every breed in between. She is a licensed judge in USBGA, ADGA, as well as AGS. She has worked extensively with Youth and loves to put them through their paces in showmanship.

Marie has also judged fiber goats, fleeces, pack goats, and obstacle courses. if you can think it up, she has more then likely judged it.

Marie has judged all over the US and in Canada at one of their Agribition shows. She judged the AGS National Show in New Mexico and has been as far North as Alaska judging.

We are very please that Marie Layman will be judging at the Oregon Fainting Goat Show again this year.

Judge: Gene McNutt (Chapel Hill, TN)

Gene McNutt moved to TN in 1989 and received his first Myotonic from a neighbor that had purchased it from a sale barn. It was given to him as a bush goat as a welcome gift. Gene didn't see it faint until it was six months old and then, when it did, he thought it had had a seizure. This immediately caught their interest and found they had been propogated in a nearby county and were on the endangered species list of ALBC. The McNutt's joined both the ATFGA & IFGA to be a part of those saving the breed. Gene served on the IFGA board in several positions between 1991 & 2003. He left the IFGA Board of Directors to give his attention to the Goats, Music, and More Festival in Lewisburg, TN as co-founder. Later, with the help of Phil Sponenberg, Barbara Roberts, and Cindy Bene, Gene founded the Myotonic Goat Registry and operated it until three years ago. Gene continues to be active in the breed, owning about fifty myotonics.

We are very please that Gene McNutt will be judging at the Oregon Fainting Goat Show again this year.
