Champion will be selected from the 1st place winners of classes 1-4.

Showmanship Classes (Saturday only)

Class S1 Senior Handlers 16 to 19 years of age
Class S2 Intermediate Handlers 13 to 15 years of age
Class S3 Junior Handlers 9 to 12 years of age
Class S4 Beginner Handlers 4 to 8 years of age
Handlers will be judged on showmanship.  The goat will be judged on how well it is groomed.  Handlers may show a doe or wether of any age. Junior bucks 12 months or younger may also be shown.  Bucks over 12 months are not allowed in showmanship classes.

Master Showman & Reserve Master Showman
Chosen from the 1st and 2nd place winners of the youth classes S1 - S4.
Second place winners have equal chance of winning Master Showman.


FGG Futurity Shows

The Fainting Goat Guild Futurity is designed to encourage selective breeding to enhance the breed and produce outstanding offspring, while competing for premium monies, $50 Champion Award,
and an end-of-year Overall Winner Award. 
Futurity classes are open to doelings and bucklings born of Futurity nominated does.

Location:

  • Payette County Fairgrounds, 310 East Blvd, New Plymouth, ID 83655 - Get Directions with Google Maps.
  • Directions: Take Exit 9 off of Interstate 84. There will be signs pointing to New Plymouth. If you're coming from Oregon, you'll turn left. If you're coming from Nampa/Boise/Caldwell, you'll turn right. The fairgrounds is 8 or 9 miles into New Plymouth. Right before the actual town, turn right onto East Blvd. Follow the road around the curve, and there it is!

Show Information:

  • For camping and dinner information, visit Exhibitor Information.
  • Pen Fees: $15 per pen. Bedding will be provided. Set-up and clean-up are provided.
  • Entry Fees:
    • Individual classes: $10 per goat per show, including MSFGA Best in Show classes.
    • Group classes (Get of Sire, Produce of Dam, Best Ranch): $10 per group of three.
  • Late Entry Fees: Entries received after August 17, 2013 will have a cost of:
    • Individual classes: $20 per goat per show, including MSFGA Best in Show classes.
    • Group classes: $20 per group of three
  • If goats will be traveling from other states, Idaho requires that goats have a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and Entry Permit dated not more than ten (10) days prior to date of movement in order to enter Idaho. No testing is necessary for meat goats. Reference: Sheep and Goat Rules of the Idaho board of Sheep Commissioners - Section 100.

  • Show is open to Futurity eligible doelings and bucklings (see FGG Futurity for eligibility requirements).
  • For general show information and rules, see the FGG Futurity home page.
  • Complete the WFGS Futurity Show Online Entry Form.
  • Entry Fee is $10 per entry per show.
  • Pay fees via PayPal or mail a check to Tracy Teichert, PO Box 1211, Ramona, CA 92065.
    • If using PayPal, you will be responsible for paying associated fees: Funds directly from a bank account or PayPal balance are free. There is a 2.9% + $0.30 fee when the money comes from a debit, credit card, or PayPal Credit. Send money to tracyross@ttt-ranch.com.
  • Pre-registration is required (no entries will be accepted at the time of the show).
  • Entries and payment must be received by August 17, 2013. No late entries will be accepted.
  • Futurity online entry form. Entries are closed.
